Necklaces and a sneak peek

Here is a sneak peek at The Olde Settlement. Carol did such an awesome job stitching it! Thanks Carol!!

Here are a couple necklaces I've made~ they are so much fun! I got the cool gargoyle from my sister~ I think he is very happy to be my model!

There are actually only 2 necklaces, showing the front and the back. It is so much fun picking out the beads too! Carmen had the cool idea to use my 1612 for some jewelry~Thanks again Carmen!!

Home from Tennessee

We had a great time on Tim's Ford Lake!
I love the south. The weather was sunny and hot. Here are some pics~

Ben and Brenda invited us to spend the weekend at their house on the lake

I also got to meet Carmen Sutton! Her house is incredible, everywhere you look, you see the most awesome stitching and finishing. She and her husband Danny are the nicest people you'd ever want to meet!

Carmen finished my 1612 piece for me~she truly is a finisher extraordinaire! I am thrilled with how it turned out! She filled it with the most wonderful smelling herbs too!

We got home last night so today was spent doing laundry and catching up on yard work. It was good to get away and also good to come home!

I have almost finished stitching Halloween Garden and tomorrow I will be busy getting some new designs charted.

1612, Pitcher Plants and Summer Toes!

Here is 1612

Aren't these pitcher plants cool! They are water plants, I've wanted a little pond in the back yard, but until then, I made my own small water container.

My poor ankle is still kinda deformed but it is attached and working so it's all good! I love warm weather~flip flops or barefoot~ Yay!

It has been kinda crazy around here~lots of kids comings and goings. I did get a few things accomplished though~ Sent a new design to Carmen to work her magic on.

Sent The Olde Settlement to Carol to work her magic on!

I'm working on a limited kit for St. Charles called The Halloween Garden. It is a big investment going to market and I want to say thanks to the shops who attend.

Hoodoo Voodoo Sampler is done in my head, now to get in on pattern maker!
Also I am doing a weird plant alphabet thing~The Wicked Series.

Dividing perennials, working on new designs

I love perennials and herbs! you buy a little pot, plant it and each year you are blessed with more than the year before. I've been dodging the rain drops and have been dividing my plants and replanting them.

I'm trying to get the thyme to grow all around my stone trough. It smells so good! I'm also severly computer challenged and cannot figure out how to get the text where I want it! Sorry!

I've divided these wild geraniums several times, I've been transplanting them to different parts of the yard.

It smells so wonderful outside right now with the lilacs and lily of the valley blooming!

Aren't these Virginia bluebells so pretty, I just wish they lasted longer

On the design front, I have 2 new things finished~~
First up is a tombstone one called 1612. This is in memory of the Pendle Witches.
I've been reading a good book on that subject~

The second is called The Olde Settlement.
Neither are stitched yet, stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by~~

Ok, here we go!

So, this is a giveaway for the cool tin frame necklace! I'll include the wicked freebie and instructions for putting it together (it is way easy!) thanks to Bonnie at Valley Framing!
To be entered~just leave a comment to this post. Since I am a huge Halloween freak, it would be great if you wanted to suggest any ideas for future designs~Halloween or not~or if you just want to tell me why you like Halloween/and or witchy things!

Just so there isn't a disappointed winner~the giveaway is for the tin frame only, not the finished Wicked necklace (which is mine and I love to wear it!!)
