Salem Village

Here is another new release for Nashville~

Here is Salem Village. It was a fun stitch. The cool tray is from East Side Moulding. I used 40 count Vintage Pear from Lakeside Linens. The fibers were fun! They are Florimell Silk Floss by Gloriana. Really variegated, I love the look of them.

Going a little crazy!

Trying to get ready for Nashville, I don't think I've ever been as behind as I am this market. Yikes! However, I have some great news!! My oldest son Ryan proposed to Megan and she said Yes!! I love Megan and am so happy!! They went hiking a few weeks ago and Ryan popped the question on top of a mountain (now how romantic is that!?)
Here they are

This weekend Eve and Joe and Jessie came over~we had such a great visit!

Here's Mike and Joe, they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs in subzero weather!! They were so good!!

Me and my BFF Eve

and here is Jessie and Eve! Jessie is a horse lover like me~We had the Ouija board out and it said that yes~Jessie would have the beginnings of a horse barn by July (Hear that Joe!) and that yes~I would indeed have another horse!!(hear that Mike!)
Here's hoping that 2011 will be a good year for all of us.

Mary Doidge

Hey guys! I'm going to have 2 reproduction samplers at Nashville and this is one of them. Carol Sims stitched the model (thanks Carol!) And Bonnie from Valley Framing, once again did an awesome job with the moulding! (thanks Bonnie!)
I love this sampler so much! Mary was only 8 years old when she stitched this. How incredible is that! She finished it on Oct.31 1844. The original resides in Allhallows Museum in Honiton England. There is also a way cool, kinda spooky story about it too! (You will have to buy the sampler to find out though)
So, in my mind this sampler is about as perfect as you can get~It is beautiful, it was finished on All Hallows Eve and it's home is Allhallows Museum!
I would like to thank the museum for the opportunity to pay tribute to Mary and her samplar.

I will be offering a limited kit for Nashville called Thy Needle
The kit will include the design and Weeks Dye Works Tin Roof linen in either 40, 35, or 30 count. I'll be e-mailing shops soon with all the details, but wanted to post a pic.
