Look closely, magic is all around you.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

This is Lisa's daughter, Mariah. I just wanted to let everybody know that while driving to work, she was swept away in the river. She had been missing since yesterday at 6 a.m. but this morning, firefighters found her body in her car. She was the best person I know. She was also more than a fantastic wife and mother, the best any of us could ask for.

omg!! i AM SO surprised and very saddened by this news. It is hard for me to believe. I was suppose to be her stitcher for a piece that suggested the theme for. It was to be a Masked Ball and she was planning it for around Halloween time. I sure feel aloss that we can not do that now. It would have been a great piece I know. You are all in my prayers. I am crushed by this news.

I can only hope in time you will find peace. Lisa was an influence on so many people and was a bright spot in many of my days just reading her blog and seeing all of the great pictures and goodies she posted. I will always treasure the many charts and other items Lisa created. She was indeed part of the "magic" around us she spoke of.

It is me again, I told my daughter about what happened to Lisa and how sad it all was including The Masked Ball design that will not be done. My daughter said I should try and design one myself.I have designed tatting but never a cross stitch design but I told my daughter if I did I would call it "The Lisa Roswell Wickedly Wicked Ball" in her honor.Who knows I might try to design the ball. I feel so saddened still this morning and can't believe it happened. Mariah and all your love ones I will continue to say prayers for all of you. Please know your Mom meant alot to us and that she was so special.

A couple of weeks ago, while shopping for a chart for my brother's wedding, I discovered a treasure trove of "witchy" charts, many of which were done by The Primitive Needle. In the past week and a half I've created a wish list at a stitching site and most of the charts I first picked out were done by TPN. I even found Lisa's blog while I was surfing for charts!

I was shopping for floss and fabric today when I learned of Lisa's death. My heart goes out to all of her family and friends.

Hi Mariah,

Have you ever considered re-publishing your mom's charts? What a talented lady and what a tragedy to lose her so early. Her charts still show up on ebay, but at an exorbitant price. I have been searching for a copy of Witches Hollow, but cannot afford the ebay prices. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there.
